  • Hampshire County Council (25 008 145)

Statement Upheld Assessment and care plan 02-Mar-2026

Summary: Mrs X complained the Council unfairly reduced her daughter’s care and support hours. She also said it delayed sending her a copy of her daughter’s care and support plan. We find some fault as the Council failed to complete updated assessments before reducing Mrs X’s daughter’s care and support hours. However, this fault did not cause a significant injustice. The Council was also at fault for its delay in providing Mrs X with a copy of her daughter's care and support plan. It apologised for this and provided a copy when it responded to Mrs X’s complaint. This is sufficient to remedy the frustration caused. We do not recommend anything further.

  • Hertfordshire County Council (25 014 450)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Special educational needs 02-Mar-2026

Summary: We will not investigate Ms X’s complaint about an alleged data breach. The Information Commissioner is better placed than us to consider this matter.

  • Somerset Council (25 014 542)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Antisocial behaviour 02-Mar-2026

Summary: We will not investigate Miss X’s complaint about antisocial behaviour. There is insufficient evidence of fault to justify an investigation.

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Charging 02-Mar-2026

  • Medway Council (25 014 667)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Planning advice 02-Mar-2026

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about the Council’s handling of a planning application. This is because Mrs X has appealed against the decision to refuse planning permission and the concerns she raises about the pre-application process did not cause significant enough injustice to warrant investigation.

  • Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (25 014 778)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Other 02-Mar-2026

Summary: We will not investigate Mr X’s complaint about the Council not banning dogs from local nature reserves. There is insufficient evidence of fault.

  • Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (25 015 161)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Refuse and recycling 02-Mar-2026

Summary: We will not investigate Mr X’s complaint about the Council’s booking system for access to its household waste recycling centre. This is because there is insufficient evidence of fault by the Council to warrant an investigation.

  • Folkestone & Hythe District Council (25 015 479)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Planning applications 02-Mar-2026

Summary: We will not investigate Ms X’s complaint about the Council’s officers’ and its planning committee’s handling of an application for a development near her home, and how officers dealt with her complaint. There is not enough evidence of fault in the planning processes, nor sufficient significant personal injustice to Ms X caused by the matters complained of, to warrant investigation. We do not investigate councils’ complaint handling where we are not investigating the core issues which gave rise to the complaint.

  • Central Bedfordshire Council (25 015 509)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Other 02-Mar-2026

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about the Council’s actions in response to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Noise Action Plan. This is because we are unlikely to find fault in the Council’s actions, and Mr Y has not suffered significant injustice.
