Summary: Mrs X complained on behalf of her family member, Mrs Y. Mrs X says the Council misinformed her about the charges due for Mrs Y’s care in a care home placement. The Council was at fault for poor communication. It has already apologised for the injustice caused which was an appropriate remedy.

Summary: Ms X complains the Council’s Reablement Team took revenge on her after she complained about one of its assistants, by giving her caffeinated tea which made her ill. The Council upheld her original complaint and apologised. There is no evidence of fault by the Council causing injustice which requires a further remedy.

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about a mistaken visit by children’s social services. The Council has accepted it went to the wrong address; it has apologised and offered payment of £250 to recognise Mr B’s distress. We are satisfied this is an appropriate action in response and we would not achieve anything further by investigation.
