  • Stratford-on-Avon District Council (22 009 013)

    Statement Upheld Enforcement 26-Apr-2023

Summary: Mr and Mrs C complained about the Council’s response to their report of a breach of planning control at a neighbouring property and say they suffer from an overbearing development which affects their outlook. We have found no fault in the Council’s consideration of the planning breach but there was fault in failing to provide a complaint response. I consider the agreed action of an apology and procedural review provides a suitable remedy.

  • Stratford-on-Avon District Council (22 012 419)

    Statement Upheld Council tax 27-Jun-2023

Summary: Ms X complains about how the Council dealt with her Council Tax account. There is no evidence of fault in how the Council dealt with Ms X’s Council Tax account. However, the Council is at fault in how it dealt with her complaint which caused avoidable time and trouble and frustration to Ms X. The Council has agreed to remedy this injustice by making an apology to Ms X.

  • Stratford-on-Avon District Council (23 017 771)

    Statement Upheld Enforcement 28-Mar-2024

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about the Council’s handling of a planning enforcement case and associated planning application. There is not enough evidence of fault in the way the Council reached its decisions on these matters, and it has apologised for failing to update the complainant about what was happening.
