We found evidence of fault in how the Council responded to Mrs X’s concerns. The Council agreed to review the suitability of Mrs X’s temporary accommodation and make a payment in recognition of the inconvenience and frustration caused to her.

However, the Council was at fault for delaying the completion of the financial assessment and its response to Mrs X’s complaint. This caused Mrs X distress and uncertainty. The Council has agreed to apologise and make a payment to Mrs X to recognise this.
