She said this meant her son missed out on schooling and she incurred extra expenses through making an appeal and complaint. The Council did not consult the school properly and its record-keeping was poor. But this did not cause the level of injustice claimed. The Ombudsman is satisfied with the action the Council has agreed to take to address the faults found.
