    Summary

    Mr C complained the Council failed to comply with a recommendation we made after our previous investigation of a complaint he made to us. There was fault by the Council. It did not comply with our recommended action which it agreed to. Because of the fault, Mr C suffered distress and frustration. The Council has agreed to apologise to Mr C, make a symbolic payment, provide updates to Mr C, arrange a direct point of contact and issue a staff briefing.

    The Council will remind relevant staff of the importance of complying with recommendations made by us as a result of our investigations which the Council has agreed to. This will help to ensure compliance with our recommendations and prevent further complaints.
