- The Council says it has made service improvements following mistakes in its planning documents and giving incorrect advice. To prevent mistakes in future, the Council will provide evidence to the Ombudsman that it has carried out the following service improvements:introduce more thorough spot-checks of plans;reduce the number of applications per officer;remind officers at weekly team meetings of the importance of checking plan titles and revision numbers when listing plans.
