Joint Working Manual

Part 19

Appendix Two - using Echo for joint working

This section includes guidance for investigators on how to use the internal case management system.

Publishing joint working cases

Publishing for joint working cases will be managed through the normal publication screen. If any one of the joint working decisions should not be published, then nothing will be published. The publication screen should be completed to flag the case as not for publication.

Sometimes there are cases where we make a JWA decision on some health and social care elements, and refer other health BinJs back to PHSO. So quite rightly, these cases do not get marked as ‘no longer JW’. But then they fail to publish because of the separated decision reason.

With these cases, we should mark them as not for publication. There is a specific reason in the publication dropdown of ‘JW Publication issue’ for this purpose and you don’t need manager approval to use it.
