Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
We are actively committed to promoting our public sector equality duties in all aspects of our work and to being an organisation that is diverse at all levels.
In particular:
- As an employer, we will ensure recruitment, training, promotion, and development opportunities are fair and equally open to all,
- As a service provider, we will ensure everyone, regardless of background or affiliation, has equality of access and treatment,
- As an investigative body, we will ensure we address complaints about all forms of racism and discrimination thoroughly, and
- As an organisation that cares about our staff wellbeing, we will ensure we maintain a diverse and welcoming environment for all and do not tolerate racism, discrimination, or abuse that is targeted at our staff.
To deliver these goals, we have signed up to the commitments in Business in the Community’s ‘Race at Work Charter’ and to the delivery of our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Programme, which is a key part of our 2021/24 Three Year Plan.
