If Mrs X believes the Council has breached the terms of the agreement it would be reasonable for her to take the matter to court.

The Council acknowledges there are fees still to be reimbursed to Mr Y from the service provider, it assures the Ombudsman it will ensure this is completed.

    Summary: There has been delay by the Council in removing a parking bay from outside a property. The parking bay partially blocks a driveway, so the delay has meant problems with access and frustration. The Council’s proposal to meet to update Mr X and to continue with the process to remove the parking bay remedies the injustice caused by the Council’s actions.

    Summary: Miss X complained about the Council’s handling of her reports of anti-social behaviour and of her housing register application. There was a short delay in providing comprehensive advice after she reported domestic abuse, for which the Council has already apologised, which is a sufficient remedy. There was also a delay in issuing its initial housing register decision, for which it should apologise. There was no fault in the way it handled the anti-social behaviour reports relating to her neighbour.
