  • London Borough of Camden (23 010 375)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Planning applications 11-Dec-2024

Summary: We will not investigate Ms X’s complaint that the Council failed to consider residents views before approving a planning application, did not consult her before approving the construction management plan and has failed to take enforcement action. There is not enough evidence of fault to justify an investigation.

  • London Borough of Camden (24 000 638)

    Statement Upheld Allocations 09-Dec-2024

Summary: Mr X complained that the Council failed to honour its offer to make a payment to him in recognition of the injustice caused by fault in its handling of his late partner’s housing application. We found the Council was at fault in raising Mr X’s expectations in relation to the payment. In recognition of the injustice caused, the Council has agreed to apologise to Mr X and make a payment to him.

  • London Borough of Camden (23 018 496)

    Statement Upheld Allocations 09-Dec-2024

Summary: Ms X complained the Council delayed considering the environmental health concerns she raised about her previous property. Ms X is also unhappy with how the Council considered her application for social housing and said it did not give her the correct priority points. Ms X said this impacted her mental and physical health. The Council did accept some fault and offered Ms X £250. There was fault in the way the Council delayed making decisions about Ms X's homelessness and did not suitably act to resolve the condition of the property. There was also fault in the priority points allocation and complaints process. Ms X was distressed and frustrated by the Council’s actions. Ms X and Y remained living in an insanitary property. The Council has agreed to apologise, make a financial payment and train its staff in the Council’s responsibilities.

  • London Borough of Camden (24 006 563)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Allocations 28-Nov-2024

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about Mr X’s housing. Parts of the complaint are late without enough reason to investigate them now. It is unlikely we could reach a clear enough view or achieve anything significant on some points now. The Council has not yet had a reasonable opportunity to deal with some other potential points of complaint. The law prevents us investigating the Council’s management of Mr X’s social housing.

  • London Borough of Camden (24 010 377)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Allocations 27-Nov-2024

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about the Council’s assessment of a housing application. There is insufficient evidence of fault which would warrant an investigation.

  • London Borough of Camden (24 013 611)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Highway repair and maintenance 05-Nov-2024

Summary: We will not investigate this personal injury complaint. This is because it is reasonable for Mrs B to take the Council to court.

  • London Borough of Camden (23 009 603)

    Statement Not upheld Noise 28-Oct-2024

Summary: We have found no fault with how the Council applies its street entertainment policy or licensing regime to control noise from amplified noise. It takes enforcement action where necessary and possible.

  • London Borough of Camden (24 009 750)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Other 23-Oct-2024

Summary: We will not investigate Miss X’s complaint about poor communication she experienced with a coroner’s officer. This is because their actions were not an administrative function of the Council.

  • London Borough of Camden (24 008 705)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Trees 20-Oct-2024

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint that the Council are responsible for damage to property while work was carried out to a nearby tree. This is because it is reasonable for the complainant to pursue their compensation claim through the courts.

  • London Borough of Camden (24 008 326)

Statement Closed after initial enquiries Traffic management 15-Oct-2024

Summary: We will not investigate Ms X’s complaint about how the Council handled her application for a disabled parking bay. This is because the Council has already investigated and replied to Ms X, and we could not add anything to that investigation.
