Summary

Mr D complains the Council has repeatedly failed to empty his food waste bin. We have found evidence of fault by the Council because it has not meaningfully investigated the cause of the missed collections or taken steps to prevent them happening again. We have upheld the complaint and completed the investigation because the Council agrees improve its procedures and monitor Mr D’s waste collections.

The Council will hold a workshop for officers on reviewing online reporting of missed collections and internal procedures.
