  • Cheshire East Council (24 005 052)

    Statement Upheld Planning applications 07-Apr-2025

Summary: Mrs X complained the Council did not tell her about later planning applications for a neighbouring development, after it refused planning permission for the first application. This meant Mrs X missed the chance to object to the redesigned scheme. Mrs X also said the Council failed to properly consider the impact on her home. We found the Council was at fault for failing to consult Mrs X on two planning applications. However, there was no fault in the Council’s decision-making, so the fault did not affect the result, and there is no significant remaining injustice.

  • Cheshire East Council (25 013 036)

    Statement Upheld Enforcement 04-Dec-2025

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about the Council delaying in investigating an alleged breach of planning control. There is insufficient evidence of fault in the way the Council reached its final decision on the enforcement case, and its apology for the delay in concluding the matter was an appropriate way to address that part of the complaint.

  • Cheshire East Council (25 002 677)

    Statement Upheld Licensing 02-Jan-2026

Summary: Mr X complained about how the Council licenced a residential park home and considered Fit and Proper Person nominations. We do not find fault with how the Council licenced the site or considered the nominations. The Council was at fault as its Fit and Proper Person register did not contain all relevant information, but this has now been corrected.
