  • Bristol City Council (23 010 584)

Statement Upheld Assessment and care plan 23-Jan-2024

Summary: Ms A complained about the way professionals assessed her, and treated her, as part of a Mental Health Act assessment. We have not found fault in the way the professionals assessed the need to detain Ms A. During the local complaints process the Council accepted it could have done more to protect Ms A’s dignity when taking her out of the house and it apologised. We consider this was a proportionate response and have not recommended more action.

    Statement Upheld Residential care 02-Feb-2024

Summary: We will not investigate Ms X’s complaint about Hartcliffe Nursing Home’s actions before and after Mr Y’s admission to hospital. We are unlikely to achieve a different outcome for her.

  • Bristol City Council (23 015 129)

Summary: We will not investigate this complaint about the Council’s delay in dealing with reports of fly tipping. The Council has removed the fly tipped material and apologised for the delay. We are satisfied with the Council’s actions on this point.
