LGO tweets for National Customer Service Week

The Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) will be showcasing the wide variety of enquiries it receives with special ‘Tweetathon’ on Tuesday (8th).

As part of National Customer Service Week, the LGO’s media team will be tweeting live from its contact centre, relaying anonymised details of the types of calls and enquiries received, and advice given throughout the day.

Throughout the day tweets will be coming from the LGO’s Twitter account, @LGOmbudsman, with the hashtag #LGOLive and followers are encouraged to join in the conversation.

The initiative will show people the huge variety of queries the LGO receives, as well as the general advice it provides to people on how to complain to other organisations when it is too early or not the right avenue to come to the LGO.

The LGO has chosen to run the event on Tuesday as this is the day the Institute for Customer Service, which runs the national event, will be focusing on complaint handling.

National Customer Service Week, which runs from 7 to 13 October, is a week-long opportunity to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays in successful business practice and the growth of the UK economy.
