Update 11.30am, 26.03.20
We have now suspended all casework activity that demands information from, or action by, local authorities and care providers, in light of the current Coronavirus outbreak.
We've taken this step in the wider public interest, to protect the capacity of local authorities and care providers to deliver vital frontline services.
When normal services do resume, we will take into account any delays when considering whether or not complaints have been brought to us within the normal 12-month time period specified in our legislation.
For more information visit our dedicated Coronavirus page.
Other organisations that might be able to help
The Ombudsman Association has a list of other Ombudsman schemes for those issues we may not be able to look at. However, these schemes may also have limited capacity to deal with new complaints during the current crisis.
We will update our website as the situation develops. We will also issue twitter updates to keep you informed.
