Summary: Mr B complains that the Council has failed to use its powers under the Land Drainage Act 1991 to reinstate an ordinary watercourse resulting in his property being at risk of flooding. The Ombudsman finds no grounds to criticise the Council’s decision that use of its powers was not warranted in this case.

Mr C says he suffered from unacceptable levels of smoke and fumes which affected the amenity of his property for longer than necessary. The Ombudsman has found no evidence of fault.

Mr X contacted the Council three days before the meeting asking for the information. The information shows the Council responded as quickly as it could and within one week of the initial request. There is no evidence of fault by the Council in the time taken to provide the requested information.
