Advice and guidance
This covers several types of publication:
Focus reports are a new style of themed publication on particular subjects of complaint. They draw on the lessons learnt from complaints the Ombudsman has investigated and include recommendations on good practice.
From time to time the Ombudsmen will collaborate with other organisations to produce guidance material.
A series of special reports highlight our experience of handling complaints in particular subject areas with recommendations on good practice. Eight special reports are published here in .pdf format.
Our current guidance notes cover different aspects of complaint handling. Click here to access Advice and guidance.
A review of our performance, including facts and figures on complaint numbers, covering the last three financial years. Our annual accounts are also published here. Click here to access the Annual reports.
